Document Description
Modify the skylights in the access ways leading from the Crocker dining room to the Woodlands and Seascape dining rooms at Asilomar State Beach and Conference Grounds. Currently, water to collects on top of the skylights, allowing both raccoons to use the pooled water to wash food and leaks in the skylight to cause water damage to wood frames and floors. Work includes removing the old skylight frames and glass and replacing with new aluminum frames and ¼" clear laminated safety glass installed in a sloped position to prevent water from collecting on top. Install new gutters and downspout that will match existing to divert water.

Project consists of the minor alteration of existing public facilities involving no expansion of use beyond current levels; replacement of existing structures where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and have the same purpose and capacity; maintenance and repair of historical resources, in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of historic Properties with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring, and Reconstructing Historic Buildings (1995), Weeks and Grimmer, and is included as "activities affecting historic resources, consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of historic Properties" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR §15300.4
