Document Description
The Permit 10478 Time Extension Project would extend the term of EBMUD's existing water right Permit 10478 to year 2040 to allow EBMUD additional time to apply its surface waters from the Mokelumne River to beneficial use. Under Permit 10478, EBMUD is authorized to divert up to 194 cubic feet per second (125 million gallons per day) from the Mokelumne River for direct use from December to July 1 and can divert up to 353,000 acre feet per year of water to storage in Camanche and Pardee Reservoirs between December 1 and July 1, all for municipal uses in EBMUD's service area in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. The Lower Mokelumne River, Camanche and Pardee Reservoirs, and associated diversion and conveyance facilities are located in or border on Amador, Calaveras, Sacramento and San Joaquin Counties.
