Document Description

The Project would construct approximately 22,500 sq ft of floor area for new structures (i.e., a new church, reception-related uses, administrative space, crematory), and approximately 1,100,000 sq ft of non-occupied floor area (for burial garden structures, wall crypts, and columbaria). The Project includes approximately 200,000 new interment sites within currently undeveloped areas of the Project Site. Approximately 7,000 new interment spaces and additional ground spaces would also be constructed within existing developed areas of the Project Site. The Project also includes the development and maintenance of debris basins within the Project Site and at the edge of the property boundary with Griffith Park. It is estimated that construction of the new structures would occur over an approximately 40-year period, from approximately 2011 to 2050.
