Document Description
Geotechnical exploration of the alluvial sediments located in the Carmel River arm of the San Clemente Reservoir and the granitic rock ridge separating San Clemente Creek and the Carmel River. The explorations will include five borings and two test pits within the alluvial sediments, as well as two rock core borings in the granitic rock ridge. Water will be extracted from the Carmel River and the San Clemente Reservoir for the geotechnical borings. Access to the Project site for drilling equipment will require the use of a rubber tired backhoe to access and excavate two test pits within the alluvial sediments. Track mounted drilling equipment will be required for the rotary wash borings in the channel bottom that will be drilled to obtain geological information. A helicopter transported drill rig will be used to complete the two rock core borings on the granitic rock ridge area. Following exploration, sites will be restored and revegetated.
