This Minor A state-funded project proposes to install centerline and shoulder rumble strips from post mile R38.5 to T42.25 on State Route 20 in Mendocino County. The project involves the removal of existing striping and pavement markers and installing ground-in rumble strip, striping, and pavement markers. In addition, four roadside signs will be installed. The need and purpose of the project is to reduce cross-centerline and run-off collisions by altering errant motorists by installing audible delineation before their vehicle crosses the centerline or leaves the traveled way. All project activities will be limited to the existing State right-of-way.
