Document Description
Conduct subsurface soil testing at the Day Use Area within Ed Z'berg Sugar Pine Point State Park. With a shovel and 4 inch diameter hand auger, dig up to 30 excavation pits to a depth of approximately 3.5 feet long and wide by 2.5 feet deep. Use a hand auger to test 30 sites outside of the excavation pits to a depth of approximately 2.5 feet. Refill each auger hole and excavation pit once testing is completed. The purpose of testing is to evaluate subsurface soil composition for the design of a proposed accessibility project to upgrade existing and install new accessible public day use facilities. The accessibility project will be evaluated in a separate environmental document.
DPR-approved standard project requirements have been incorporated into the Subsurface Soil Test Project. A list of project-specific project requirements can be viewed by contacting the environmental coordinator listed below.
