Document Description
In the Central to North Stockton area widening is proposed to the I-5 freeway on the inside median increasing the freeway geometry from 6 to 8 lanes between Country Club Boulevard and the proposed North Gateway Boulevard interchange. Inside widening would accommodate mixed flow lanes (Alternative 1) or HOV lanes (Alternative 2). If alternative 2 is selected the existing inside lane wuld be converted to and HOV lane between Charter Way and County Club Boulevard. Improvements to four interchanges are also proposed including Hammer Lane (existing), Otto Drive (proposed), Eight Mile Road (existing), and North Gateway Bouldvard (proposed). Between interchanges auxillary lanes are also proposed to the outside of the mainline. In selected locations noise barriers are proposed as a project feature.
