Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2010-0072-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, East Bay Regional Park District. The project is limited to repair of landslides at two locations in Alvarado Park. Site 1, a retaining wall with concrete piers, steel piles and wooden lagging will installed at the top of the bank to protect an existing maintenance road. A new riprap apron will be installed above the ordinary High Water Mark below the outlet of an existing 12-inch storm drain for energy dissipation. Construction activities will permanently disturb approximately 1,312 square feet of vegetation and will be limited to the upper banks, above the OHWM. At Site 2, a 3' by 3' trench will be excavated at the toe of the slope on the southern bank, and approximately 91.3 cubic yards of 1-ton and 1/2 -ton riprap will be keyed into the trench. The lower portion of the slope (approximately 774 square feet) will be excavated and backfilled with engineered fill material and compacted native soils.
