The projet proposes to annex 18 parcels, totaling approximately 230 acres, from the unincorporated area of Butte County into the City of Oroville. The project area is within the City's Sphere of influence, and is partially contiguous to the City limits along the south property boundary where it abuts the Linkside Subdivision. The proposed annexation area is currently zoned by Butte County as Agricultural Residential, 5-acre minimum parcel size (AR-5), with a General Plan land use classification of Agricultural Residential (AR). The City currently designates these parcels as Agricultural Residential 5-acre minimum parcel size (AR-5).
