Document Description
The build alternative would construct auxilary lanes (merging lanes) on Highway 1 in Santa Cruz County for a distance of 0.98 mile. Specifically, adding one auxilary lane from the Soquel Ave. on-ramp to the Morrissey Blvd. off-ramp in the northbound direction and extending an outside lane between La Fonda Ave. and the Soquel Ave. off-ramp in the southbound direction. The project also would replace and add bike lanes and wider sidewalks to the La Fonda overcrossing, and add sidewalk improvements along Rooney Street and Morrissey Blvd. between Elk Street and San Juan Avenue.
