Document Description
The California Department of Public health (CDPH) is statutorily responsible for regulating public water systems and for establishing primary drinking water regulations with which public water systems must comply. CDPH has adopted a revised primary drinking water standard for arsenic that is more stringent than the previous standard and is the same as that established by the United States Environmental Protection Agency under the federal Safe Drinking Water Act.
