Reasons for Exemption
This administrative action for the Site imposes ICs to ensure industrial usage only. The Site is located within the boundaries of Vandenberg AFB, an active military installation, where access to the base is controlled through designated gates that are manned by security personnel 24-hours-a-day. The ICs include restrictions, monitoring, conditions for prohibitied uses, soil management, access, Site transfer to federal and non-federal entities, and restriction documentation. DTSC will have entry and access rights to the site for inspection, monitoring, and other necessary activities. The ICs will be recorded in the GIS for the base. If the Site is transferred, either to a federal or non-federal entity, the ICs will be included in the appropriate transfer documents to ensure their continued compliance.
