Document Description
The CDFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project applicant, CA Dept. of Water Resources, San Joquin District. The Project consists of the rehabilitation of 2 existing water monitoring gage structures and the installation of 3 new water monitoring gages. Work will be conducted when the river is dry. Existing gages will have 4 inch diameter conduits extended between 30 to 45 ft into the low-flow channel of the river and will be anchored to the river bottom using concrete and steel. New gage installations will require excavation of a rectangular area ( 5ft x 5ft x 2 ft) to form concrete foundations. Upright standing culvert pipes will be anchpred to the poured concrete foundations using a crane to move and position the gage house. Sections of 4 inch pipe will be attached to the new gage house (via a 45-90 degree elbow) and placed above ground from the gage house down the side of the embankment and into the San Joaquin River. 2 to 3 anchors will be installed in the channel to keep the conduit containing the probes stable.
