Reasons for Exemption
Because the project site is vacant and has been previously disturbed, the proposed bridge replacement will not create new environmental impacts unless a new project is proposed which will use the new bridge and culvert. If a project is proposed for the vacant site, the environmental document prepared for that project will analyze the impacts of traffic, drainage, etc. In addition, a Biological Assessment of the canal and surrounding area was performed by a qualified biologist which has determined that there is no potential for biological impacts as a result of the project.
