The project will replace an existing 200,000 gallon redwood water tank with a new 245,000 gallon tank that meets existing standards and resurface a secondary 30,000 gallon raw water tank. Associated waterlines and facilities within the site will need to be upgraded. As part of the project, overhanging branches will be trimmed from nearby trees, geotechnical borings and other investigative studies will be conducted, and temporary construction easements or right of entry permits may be required for project staging and utilities.

No potential for significant impacts to the environment is anticipated. A resource ecologist will ensure avoidance of significant impacts to natural resources. New structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced (class 2) Project does not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees but does require trimming of said trees over the existing structure & Temporary use of land having negligible or no permanent effects on the environment & Surface will be restored & Project does not result in the taking of endangered, rare, or threatened plant or animal species or significant erosion and sedimentation of surface water (class 4) Project may require temporary easements or right of entry permits (class 5) Project will not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource. (class 6)
