Santa Barbara Flood Control and Water Conservation District (SBCFCWCD) is a State Water Project (SWP) contractor located in Santa Barbara County. The proposed project is the delivery by SBCFLWCD of up to 1,000 acre feet of 2008 Table A water to Kern County Water Agency (KCWA) in the Irvine Ranch/ Rosedale-Rio Bravo Demonstration Groundwater Bank KCWA will return up to 500 acre feet of its SWP Table A water to SBCFCWCD by the year 2013. This exchange will enable both KCWA and SBCFCWCD to better manage their respective water supplies. No lands will be fallowed as a result of the exchange. The lands have been actively farmed in the past. The water will be delivered within the SWP Place of Use.
