Major storm events during the 2005/2006 winter season caused the deterioration of the shoulder on highway 299 between post miles 21.39 and 21.5, resulting in the undermining of the westbound travel lane. The proposed project would restore the highway to pre storm damage conditions by constructing a tieback wall and rebuilding 200 feet of roadway.
