Document Description
The City of San Pablo has initiated a comprehensive update of its General Plan (including the Housing Element). The purpose of the project is to update the City's existing General Plan to accommodate development through 2030. It is intended that this General Plan update will include land use and physical design, circulation, conservation, growth management, economic development, environment resource management (parks and recreation, noise and safety), and housing in addition to a public facilities and services element. The Update offers the Planning Commission and City Council an opportunity to establish the City's priorities related to growth through development of key infill sites, cross-town connectors, neighborhoods, and activity centers. The new General Plan will serve as the framework for the City's Capital Improvements Program (CIP), and needed changes to zoning and other implementing ordinances, annual budget, and operations and maintenance activities.
