Document Description
The Project proposes to improve the quality of stormwater discharging into Lake Tahoe from the Kings Beach community by stabilizing exposed soils with vegetation and/or mulch; improving the existing drainage system with new curbs, gutters, earthen berms and underground pipes, and treating runoff with a variety of methods including fill removal, sediment traps and vaults, swales, infiltration and/or detention basins, and media filters. In addition, the Project proposes to improve fish passage and habitat in Griff Creek by replacing culverts, constructing in-channel habitat features, excavating portions of channel, constructing new channel, and installing rock channel bed stabilization (grade control) structures.
