Document Description
The project involves the construction of two identical water storage reservoirs (tanks) at two separate locations. Each reservoir is cylindrical in shape with a storage capacity of 1 million gallons. The facilities are an on-ground design with a maximum height of 34 feet and a diameter or 86 feet. The water storage tanks will occupy an approximately 25,500 square foot portion of each site. Both locations will also contain a 2,275 square foot, single-story pump house measuring 35 by 65 feet with a height of approximately 20.5 feet. The pump house provides security for the pump equipment and to attenuate any noise that may be generated from the pumping activities. The purpose of the projects is increase the reliability of the City of Turlock's potable water system and to add capacity to meet peak water demands.
