Document Description
Caltrans, in cooperation with the County of Tulare and the City of Visalia proposes to widen Avenue 280 from a two-lane undivided roadway to a four/six-lane divided road with a median. The widening would occur from the junction with SR99 in Tulare County east to Mooney Blvd. in the Visalia, and from Santa Fe St. in Visalia east to Orange Ave., with transitions to the existing two-lane roadway completed by Filbert Rd. in Exeter, excluding the roadway segment through Farmersville. Intersection improvements at up to 21 roadway intersections with Avenue 280 would also be implemented. Improvements and right-of-way transitions at these intersections may occur for up to 700 feet north and/or south of Avenue 280. The project would also require utility relocation, right-of-way clearing, and culvert widening. The length of the project is 10.82 miles.
