Document Description
A Major Revision to a previously approved Planned Development (PD), and Addendum, for the Auto Club Speedway facility (Original Project) to replace the existing two-mile track with a half-mile short track referred to as the NASCAR, Next Gen In California (Modified Project). The Modified Project would have a reduced
maximum capacity of 50,000 persons with approximately 35,000 grandstand seats from the previously approved capacity of 107,000 persons and 93,880 grandstand seats, while continuing to host the same type of operations and events previously approved by the County and analyzed in a certified Final Environmental Impact Report and Final Subsequent Environmental Impact Report. Mitigation measures were previously made conditions of approval for the Original Project, and will apply to the Modified Project. The Addendum was prepared for the Modified Project and evaluated whether the Revision to the Approved Action would cause any new significant impacts or an increase in the severity of previously identified significant environmental impacts, and the County determined no additional environmental review is required.
