Caltrans proposes to widen SR 119 from two lanes to four lanes, starting 0.75 miles west of Cherry Avenue (post mile 5.5) and ending either at Elk Hills Road (post mile R10.4) or Tupman Road (post mile R13.3) in Kern County. Caltrans proposes three build alternatives, two of which would bypass the communities of Valley Acres and Dustin Acres to the south.
