Document Description
Conditional Use Permit CUPH08-011 and Design Review Permit DR08-036 to amend Conditional Use Permit CUPH08-001 and Design Review Permit DR08-005 to allow the conversion of a church to a medical clinic. Alterations to the approved design include the following: -Retention of two screened heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units, one on the south elevation and one on the west elevation and addition of one HVAC unit on the south side elevation; -Change in location of a concrete masonry unit (CMU) block trash enclosure; -Change in size of a new accessible landing and stairs on the north side of the building; -Removal of a trellis formerly to remain; -Blocking off the stairs and removal of handrails on the Seco Street entrance stairs; -Change in building materials from wood to concrete for the carpet covered landing in front of the Seco Street door; -Addition of structural reinforcement on the Seco Street canopy; -Addition of a new accessible access at the public right-of-way; -Addition of an entrance canopy on the south side to match the existing west side façade canopy; -Addition of three new windows on the south side lower level to match the existing windows; and -Addition of a new entrance door on the south side lower level.

After reviewing the project and its setting, the Environmental Coordinator for the County of Tuolumne has determined that the project is categorically exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to Section 15301 of the State CEQA Guidelines because it consists of minor alterations to an existing private structure involving negligible expansion of use beyond that presently existing.
