Document Description
Enhancement of previously approved bikeway to include installations of artistic gateway entry arches at selected street access point, construction of rest stops, installation of pedestrian lighting, interpretive signage, drinking water fountains, exercise stations and landscaping materials featuring drought-tolerant native plan species arranged to provide attractive habitat for wildlife species and to serve as bio-swales designed to enhance percolation of storm water runoff to the underlying aquifer. Project also includes supplemental water conserving irrigation system installations at various locations. Project also tiers off of two Environmental Impact Reports that have been certified by the City of Los Angeles: LA River Revitalization Master Plan (State Clearinghouse Number: 2006041050) and the Integrated Resource Planning EIR (State Clearinghouse Number: 2004071091).
