Document Description
This project will renovate and expand the existing Dining Commons Facility (Bldg. 16) to enclose the existing concrete courtyard and connect the two existing dining rooms into a single dining hall. The existing dining hall is based on the original design of this building that was previously used by the US Army. The dining areas consist of two separate rooms of 1,533 Sq. Ft. each. The courtyard in-between the two rooms is approx, 912 SF of paved area. The combined space will provide a large, contiguous dining room or 3,970 SF that will enhance the capacity of the dining services that have outgrown its original capacity. It will also remodel the interior food serving areas into different food platform type areas. This project will improve services for student dining needs and significantly affect retention of students.
