Other renovations include replacement of the existing HVAC rooftop air handling units with minor modifications to the ductwork in areas affected by code upgrades and adding bathrooms to meet fixture count requirements. There will not be any change to the exterior footprint of the building. This remodel will provide new space for a student center when the old library stacks are moved to the new library building.

The project involves negligible or no expansion of an existing use as defined by 15301 sections: (a) Interior or exterior alternations involving such things as interior partitions, plumbing and electrical conveyances; and (d) Restoration or rehabilitation of deteriorated or damaged structures, facilities, or mechanical equipment to meet current standards of public health and safety; The building remodel will not increase the building footprint.
