Document Description
Annual placement of a temporary stream crossing in Dry Creek to allow vehicle access to gravel extraction activities outside of the stream zone. Two, 24 inch by 40 foot long culverts will be placed on the streambed and backfilled with approximately 1560 cubic yards of clean, washed gravel. In the event of precipitation or unforeseen increases in stream flow appropriate BMPs for sediment control will be immediately put in place. The crossings will be removed from the creek by October 31st each year.

Reasons for Exemption
This crossing is a temporary measure to allow heavy equipment to cross a stream without driving directly throught the water and thereby significantly increasing sediment loading in the stream. The flows of the creek will not be impaired by the culverts.
