Document Description
As part of the Sierra Nevada Adaptive Management watershed research study, sediment basin structure consisting of a dam, pool area, upstream cross-vane structure, and rock spillway will be installed. Construction will be completed by hand, and will take place during late summer or early fall when low flow conditions existing in the stream, and flow will be temporarily diverted through corrugated drainpipe while construction is in progress. Following construction, sediment basins will be maintained through yearly excavation of accumulated sediment which will be collected and characterized as part of this continuing research project. Following study completion, the disturbed sites will be restored and revegeted.
