Document Description
The Applicant was in the process of building a retaining wall in Pond Creek to save a large oak tree from falling over into the creek. Warden Jim Jones informed the Applicant that a 1600 Agreement was needed to conduct work in the creek and had the Applicant cease working until an Agreement was obtained. The Applicant proposes to complete the retaining wall to protect the tree from continued erosion. Rip rap will then be placed along the base of the wall in the creek bed to prevent undercutting of the wall. The creek is currently dry and no water will need to be diverted. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2008-0276-3 is pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
