Document Description
SFPP, L.P. (SFPP), an Operating Partnership of Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. (KMEP) proposes to conduct maintenance activities on an existing 8-inch petroleum products pipeline in Placer County, California. This pipeline alignment runs between the cities of Rocklin and Chico, CA and is designated Line Section 64 (LS 64). The work site is located on LS 64, about one mile north of the City of Sheridan, CA. The pipeline runs under an emergent freshwater wetland. An area 4-feet wide x 8-feet long x 5-feet deep (6cubic yards of soil) will be excavated, and side-cast until the work is complete. If remediation of the anomaly is required, the preferred repair is to weld a steel sleeve to the pipeline in lieu of a composite wrap. The excavation will be backfilled with native soil, and the site restored to pre-construction conditions.
