Document Description
Implement a fuel modification strategy approximately 3000' long and 100' wide along the urban interface between the City of Morro Bay and Morro Bay State Park to create a zone of defensible space from possible wildland fires. Most of the work will occur along an existing trail paralleling the park boundary. Work will remove downed branches and all dead or dying trees within 100' of the park boundary; prune shrubs into islands and all live trees up to 10' above the ground; remove all pruned and dead material; and mow light fuels to four inches or less within 30' of a structure.
