Document Description
The University of California, Santa Barbara proposes to expose two existing communication pull boxes and tie in conduits and cable between the two boxes to upgrade the communications system for the West Campus Married Student Housing area. The project involves clearing four-hundred and sixty (460') square feet of non-native vegetation. Six branches, approximately 2-inches thick, of the nearby willow trees would be trimmed to provide access. Two (2) existing five-inch (5.0") ducts on the west side of a concrete pull box will be exposed. The ducts are located at a depth of approximately fifty-five inches (12") wide trenching between the two existing pull boxes. Two five-inch (5.0") PVC ducts would be placed in the trench. The trench would then be filled in and compacted to conform to the surrounding soil.
