Document Description
The project is the installation of a weather observation system at the City of Reedley Municipal Airport. The system includes an open tower and sensors to accommodate weather detecting devices including but not limited to a barometer, thermometer, ceilometer, visibility and lightning/thunderstorm detectors. The information obtained from the exterior equipment will be displayed on a terminal located within the existing airport buildings. All equipment will be illuminated in accordance with FAA rules and regulations.

The project is a minor alteration of the existing airport facilities to accommodate safety equipment, but will not result in a change or expansion of the existing use. The addition of a safety device to predict weather conditions in the airport vicinity for use in conjunction with the airport facilities and equipment is categorically exempt. There is no evidence that the project will result in any environmental impacts.
