Acquire approximately 535 acres of land known as the Little Basin property, located south of State Highway 236 in northern Santa Cruz County for inclusion into Big Basin Redwoods State Park to administer, protect, provide for recreational opportunity, and develop the State Park System. Jointly owned by the Sempervirens Fund and the Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST), this former Hewlitt-Packard employee retreat comes complete with cabins, clubhouse, caretaker's residence, maintenance shop, and other recreational structures. Any future projects or development of the Little Basin property will require a full environmental compliance review.
