Document Description
Ross Valley Sanitary District (RVSD) is proposing a project to remove an existing sewer trestle comprised of several steel pipes and couplings that span Ross Creek and install large woody debris (LWD) material (logs) at the base of a newly constructed concrete footing. Additional elements of the project include installation of a versa-lock block wall outside of the stream area in order to stabilize earthen areas adjacent to, but not within, the stream zone and riparian area of Ross Creek. Details of the LWD installation include fastening 3-4 pieces of LWD (minimum of 8-foot long 18-inch diameter with complete root wads) to the concrete footing in a manner that will provide in-stream pool habitat. The California Department of Fish and Game is issuing Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2008-0265-3 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602, to the Applicant, Mr. Eric Stassevitch, Ross Valley Sanitary District.
