Document Description
The project involves construction of a seismic upgrade to the 5.5 mile-long Richmond-San Rafael Bridge that spans the upper arm of the San Francisco Bay. The project includes upgraded piers, foundations, and columns and the replacement of the west concrete trestle. Some grading and dredging is also involved. Construction activities include driving approximately 212 piles into the floor of the Bay.
