The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is proposing a project on State Routes 5, 20, 50, 51, 80, and 99 in Sacramento, Colusa and Placer Counties. The purpose of this State Highway Operation and Protection Plan (SHOPP) project is to install Changeable Message Signs (CMS) and Closed Circuit Television Camera (CCTV) at 17 locations in the Sacramento Metropolitan Area (SMA).
