Document Description
Caltrans will construct a new building to house the maintenance crew at the Gibson Maintenance Station, in Shasta County about 10 miles north of Lakehead. The new 1,260 square-foot crew building will replace an outdated facility that lacks adequate office space, separate restrooms for men and women, and suitable heating and cooling. The existing building neither complies with current building codes nor the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Caltrans considered a remodel, but Structures determined on-site replacement of the crew room to be more cost effective. The current crew room and office will be used as storage areas after the new crew building is constructed. No permits will be required. Caltrans constructed previous 02-03150, the Equipment storage and Service Building on site in 2007.
