Document Description
Caltrans proposes to modify the base of slope, remove loose rock material, and provide rock fall fencing along SR299 in Shasta County near Burney, at one mile west of Sawmill Road. Installation of approximately 635 feet of new fence will prevent rocks from rolling on to the traveled way and, thus, increase roadway safety. The project meets clear recovery zone requirements and accommodates maintenance operations, such as snow removal. All work will be performed within the State's right of way. No permits will be required. No work shall occur within the ordinary high water mark of the two channels that exist to the east of the project area.
