Document Description
Install a new pump for irrigation for Lake Tahoe Golf Course at Lake Valley State Recreation Area. Drill at the location of a previous 1987 test well site to a depth of approximately 276 feet. Drill equipment includes an Ingersoll Rand T3 within a 70' radius around the bore hole and well site. Once bore hole is drilled, pack with gravel with up to one yard per 100 feet for 170 feet. Install a submersible well pump to a depth of approximately 276 ft. De-watering will flow into existing sediment basin adjacent to the well site. Construct approximately a 50 foot long by 4 foot wide rock and native soil lined spillway from well pump to the existing manmade irrigation pond.
Equipment will be staged in paved parking area. Spoils will be removed from project site and re-located to a designated park storage area for use on future projects. Revegetate disturbed area at well site with locally occurring native plants, Employ Best Management Practices (BMPs) to control erosion and sediment in excavation and staging/storage areas. If project activities should expose any cultural resources, work will cease at that location until the find is assessed by a DPR-qualified Archaeologist. The DPR-qualified Archaeologist will determine an appropriate data treatment program and implement protective measures.
