Document Description
Install remediation mechanisms throughout Bodie State Historic Park to improve public health and safety. At the Bell Assay, Rose Clip Assay, Old Rail Station, and Transformer Building, work will remove an area of soil approximately 80' x 2' deep using non-mechanized methods near the buildings and lightweight mechanical equipment further away; install filter fabric at the terminus of the excavation; install clean fill; and compact the soil using vibratory equipment.

Project consists of minor alterations in the condition of land, and vegetation which does not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees, basic data collection, research, and resource evaluation activities which do not result in a serious disturbances to an environmental resource, and the preservation of historic resources in a manner consistent with the Secretary of Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring, and Reconstructing Historic Buildings (1995), Weejs and Grimmer.
