Document Description
Replacement of an existing 25 gallon per minute (gpm) pump in the South Fork Eel River channel bed and subsurface water diversion for small domestic use. Replacing the pump requires that the gravel bar over the existing pump be excavated, the existing pump removed, a new pump installed, and the channel recontoured to the original configuration at the site.

Reasons for Exemption
The project proposes to replace an existing water diversion pump for small domestic use and all associated streambed gravels will be replaced after the work. Measures are proposed to protect fishery resources onsite during operations. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, rare or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to section 15065. There are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probably future projects.
