Document Description
The project consists of the adoption of the 2008 City of Rocklin General Plan Update. The proposed General Plan does not represent a major shift in proposed land uses (except for the revitalization envisioned in the Downtown Plan) and policy direction relative to the existing 1991 General Plan. Goals and policies proposed in the General Plan are primarily intended to codify existing land uses and development practices currently implemented by the City and to establish new land use and development related guidelines to more effectively manager future growth and protect the environment. Notable differences between the proposed 2008 General Plan Update and the existing 1991 General Plan include modifications to land use designations, circulation diagram and features, LOS policy, creek setbacks, gated subdivisions and noise.
