Document Description
The Novato South Service Area Project was included in the North Bay Water Recycling Program Phase 1 Implementation Plan EIR/EIS to provide approximately 204 acre-feet per year of recycled water service to the Hamilton Field area. Based upon subsequent engineering and design efforts, NMWD proposes to modify the transmission and distribution pipeline alignment in the Hamilton Area within the Novato South Service Area. This modification is required in order to provide connections for recycled water user, with consideration of willingness of landowners to grant easements, and construction access limitations. Therefore, the District prepared an addendum to the EIR/EIS to review this proposed alignment modification within the context of the previous analysis provided in the EIR/EIS. The transmission pipeline system constructed by NMWD would consist of approximately six miles of pipeline that would extend north from LGVSD WWTP through agricultural land, turning west along St. Vincent's Drive then north, adjacent to the Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) right-of-way (ROW). The distribution pipeline would extend along the following roadways: Bolling Drive, Main Gate Road, Randolph Drive, C Street, Hamilton Parkway, and Palm Drive. The pipeline would connect from Hamilton Parkway to an existing recycled water storage tank, the Reservoir Hill Tank, via a conveyance pipeline through open space. From Palm Drive the pipeline would turn east along South Palm Drive and then north and south along Hangar Avenue. The pipeline would connect to San Pablo Avenue via a distribution extension from Hanger Avenue.
