Lindquist Landing Marina Expansion

The applicant requests approval of a land use permit to amend County File #LP952083, a previously approved land use permit for the Lindquist Landing Marina. The current request is to allow the following improvements: (1) one 750-foot long, 6-foot wide dock with four gangways, connected to 38 steel pilings driven in Rock Slough; (2) one 45-foot by 150-foot RV/boat storage building; (3) one 60-foot by 200-foot RV/boat storage building; (4) two 60-foot by 240-foot RV/boat storage buildings; (5) 22 outdoor RV/boat storage spaces; and (6) ancillary improvements associated with the project including repaving, new paving, and construction of vegetated self-retaining areas designed to treat storm water runoff. Implementation of the project would require minor grading and site preparation work. The project includes a request for approval of a variance to allow a front setback of 0 feet for the proposed gangways where a minimum setback of 25 feet is required. The project also includes a request to work within the drip lines of several code-protected trees for the purpose of installing the gangways. The proposed project previously included floating homes ("live-aboards"), new fuel tanks, a new sewer pump station, and a sewer line extension. The applicant no longer wishes to pursue these improvements and thus they are not analyzed in this Initial Study.
