Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2010-0017-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency. Phase 3 of the Natomas Levee Improvements program, this element of the project is to install surface drains to property direct runoff from the adjacent levee and Garden Highway. The drains will be vegetated swales. As part of the Landside Improvements Project, Phase 2, SAFCA constructed 13 surface drain outfalls to the Sacramento River from the confluence of the Sacramento River and Natomas Cross Canal to approximately 2,500 linear feet south of the north Drainage Canal along the Garden Highway. There are four additional outfalls that need to be installed. The drainage swales will be located within private properties along the water side of the Garden Highway.
