Document Description
The project includes a proposal for the construction of two 500,000 gallon, 50 foot diameter, 24 foot tall, off-site water tanks on approximately 0.5 acres. Water from the McKinleyville Community Services District (MCSD) would be conveyed to the tanks via a new pump station to be constructed at the existing MCSD water tanks on Norton Road, and a 2,600 foot long, 8" diameter water pipeline to be constructed from the Norton Road water tanks through the project site in proposed streets, and then eastward in Murray Road to the proposed tanks. Water would then be conveyed from the proposed tanks to the project site via a pump station to be constructed at the water tank site and a new 1,350 foot long, 8" diameter water pipeline to be constructed in Murray Road. The water system would pump water form the MCSD water tanks through the project site to the proposed water tanks, and then back to the project site, in order to provide the water pressure necessary to serve the project.
