Document Description
The proposed action consists of increasing flood flow capacity, in addition to cnsidering the improvement of fish passage and bank stability in Corte Madera Creek. The following represent a minimum of the alternatives that will be evaluated in the EIS/EIR:
1) No action;
2) Minimum action to replace existing fish ladder which constricts flood flows;
3) Increase flood flow capacity through a variety of measures including but not limited to widening the channel, installing floodwalls, wing walls, grade control, biotechnical bank stabilization and slope protection, and creating a natural channel bottom;
4) Hybrid alternative representing a combination of measures; and
5) Non-structural alternative of expanding the floodplain through real estate acquisition.
