Document Description
The proposed project is the adoption of the Chino Airport Compatibility Plan, which includes an Airport Influence Area (AIA) with new boundaries, by the Riverside County Airport Land Use Commission (Commission). The Compatibility Plan establishes policies for determining consistency between development projects within the AIA, and the objectives set forth in the State Aeronautics Act (Pub. Util. Code §§21670-21679.5). Those objectives call for the Commission to protect public health, safety, and welfare by ensuring the orderly expansion of Chino Airport and the adoption of land use measures that minimize the public's exposure to excessive noise and safety hazards within areas around Chino Airport, to the extent that those areas are not already devoted to incompatible uses. [Pub. Util. Code §21670, subd. (a)(2)]
